Can’t get away from the studio…

Monday, March 16th, 2009

I’ve been in this studio for years…and honestly, I love it. But days like today make me wish I were outside. I mean, sure, I’d be sweating my coat-tails off, but what a day. More of the same tomorrow. Maybe I’ll get a stunt-double to do this gig while I go play 18 holes tomorrow! Until then, I’ll keep playing…ANYTHING!!!

American Idol

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

So, I was sitting here last night, playing anything & watching American Idol…Anyway, I went to vote for contestant number 13 and dialed the regular “Idol” number and some swanky, sultry voice was on the other end. So, like any other red-blooded, American male, I said “giddy-up”! After calling 1-866- IDOLS-13- 25 times, I realized that I wasn’t voting, but rather calling some phone sex operator! Apparently the number was 1-866- IDOLS-36. I feel kind of dirty after all of that.

I was browsing the web during a Springsteen song the other day and came across a story about how they found the last known picture of me. Apparently, I signed the back of some picture for Grant?!?! I would have remembered that, even though it was close to 170 years ago. Although, when they said it was taken, I was going pretty heavy on the John Barley Corn then, so my memory could have been a bit faded!!! Keep rockin’!!!

Long hours

Monday, March 9th, 2009

So, I’m stuck in this studio 24 hours a day…I’m telling you, I love playing anything, but it does get exhausting!! I was actually thinking about taking  a break from playing anything the other day, but I remembered how boring it was back in the 1800’s when we could only sing hymns and campfire songs…So, I decided to stay in here- playing anything for the masses! You’re welcome!

The storm yesterday scared the buh-jeezus outta me yesterday. As you know, I’m stuck in this studio all the time, and if you’ve seen our building, it’s like a metal pole barn. I thought I was a goner for about 2 minutes…Alright, this song’s about over, so I’m gonna go get the next song ready to rock!!! Thanks for hanging with Abe!!!

 Keep rockin’,
